I was in the Darkness once

Was In Darkness Once

I was in darkness once.
Falling deeper and deeper into the empty abyss. Seeing nothing but
the dark around me and losing hope as I fall. But just before I lost
the last of my hope, in the far distance a glimmer of light could be
seen.

I reached out to it but
couldn’t grasp it in my hands.  Realising, I fell into losing
hope once more and I watched as the light got further and further
away. Just then the light came closer to me, soon it was in reach so
I reached out to it again. Holding that light in my hands felt warm
and comforting as I fell no more.

I realised that this
was your heart. Your heart met with mine and saved me from the
darkness.
